Earth Day 5K run

Last Saturday was the Earth Day 3K/5K walk/run. I am proud to say I ran the 5K in 35 minutes! Not my fastest mile time but I still did good. We signed in at 8 and the run didn't start until 9 so Rayden was stuck in his stroller for an hour before we even started running. He started crying before I even got to the first check point thing and I was so mad. I thought I was going to have to turn around and not be able to finish. I tried giving him his sippy cup and crunchies but he didn't want that. My keys made him happy and then soon after he fell asleep. I was so happy to finish and be able to say I ran a 5K. This Saturday I am going to run another 5K!

Family Car

This last weekend we traded in our 2007 Scion TC for a 2004 Subaru Forester 2.5X. I have been wanting a bigger family car for a long time and now I finally have one! The scion was a nice car and got really good gas mileage but we were tired of having to crawl to the back seat to put Rayden in his carseat. Another bad thing about the scion is it had the biggest blindspots ever. There was no point in looking over your shoulder to see if there was a car because you wouldn't be able to see anyway. Now That I have the forester I feel like I can see everything! The interior isn't the best looking but it will do the job. Another plus is now I don't have to take off the stroller wheels to fit it in the car :)

Weight weight go away

So as you could probably tell I gained twice as much weight as I should've when I was pregnant. At the beginning of my pregnancy I wasn't gaining and then I was on the right track and out of nowhere I would gain 10 lbs a week! I ended up gaining 64 lbs and weighing over 220 lbs at the end of my pregnancy!
After the first week of having Rayden I lost about 35 lbs and then I was stuck for the longest time not losing any weight. I was at 185 forever and now that I started running about 3 miles most mornings beginning in March I have lost 10 lbs and am down to 175.
I'm so happy to finally be moving and losing weight. I still have 15 more lbs to go to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight and fit into all my clothes I still can't wear. I'm shooting to lose more and get down lower than that though.

This is when Rayden was a week old.

This is a couple months before getting pregnant.

Foot Fetish

So Rayden is weird and loves feet. I always find him at the shoe rack buy the door tring to eat all the shoes. (Really Gross) He is like a puppy. Yesterday during Relief Society he was crawling around touching all the ladies shoes and feet...I always feel like everyone is thinking why isn't that lady taking her kid out to the foyer because he is always being crazy. On the way home from running this morning I looked back at Rayden in his car seat and saw him holding his foot up to his mouth so he could eat his toe. I tried to get a picture of his foot in his mouth but it didn't work out. He always pulls his sock off and it is so weird because he only ever takes his left sock off. I have one silly baby!

I believe it's jogging or yogging, it might be a soft j.

I made some friends on base who go running in the morning so I bought a jogging stroller a couple weeks ago. We usually run around 3 miles. At first my mile time was like 13 or so minutes and today we went 3.08 miles and our fasest mile was 10.5 minutes. I'm always way in the back and today I thought I was going to die! When I told them that I wanted to join them they said I had to run the 5K with them on April 9th. I thought they were out of there minds but now that I have been running with them I'm not so scared anymore. A 5K is 3 miles and that is what we have been running. I should take a picture of Rayden all bundled up in his stroller.

Long time, no see!

Ok so it has obviously been way too long since I have posted anything. There is nothing of Thomas Rayden!

Rayden is huge and has started walking. When we sit down and try to get him to walk to us back and forth he won't do it but he will take a few steps when he wants to.

He has 6 teeth and 2 more coming in.

I love this face he makes! He looks like he wants kisses but that is not what it is. His kisses are open mouth and wet! He started making this face when he was whining but now he just does it to be silly.

Rayden loves bathtime. When Ryan or myself wants to take a bath or a shower we put Rayden in his walker in the bathroom with us. We have to get creative sometimes so Rayden won't cry the whole time. I usually just give him some crunchies to munch on. In this picture Ryan was taking a bath and so we gave Rayden some of the bubbles to play with to keep him happy.
